I watched this one this morning, I had quite low expectations as I hadn't really heard too much good about it, well I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.
Fantasy Island is Blumehouse's re-imagining of the famous late 70s/ early 80s TV series which starred Ricardo Montalban and Herve Villechaize.
The updated version stars Michael Pena, Maggie Q , Lucy Hale and Michael Rooker to name but a few, and, like the original, is set on an island that can make your fantasies real, but of course, you should be careful what you wish for!
Like most Blumehouse movies this has good production values, is well acted, a good story and has decent plot pacing, I enjoyed the movie a lot more than I thought I would and look forward to the sequel (Blumehouse nearly always do sequels), give it a go, there's worse ways to spend a hour and a half!
