Gangs of London is a TV series (created by Gareth Evans) about a turf war in London for control of the criminal underworld after the larger than life patriarch (Colm Meaney) of the organisation and main family is seemingly accidentally murdered.
The son (Joe Cole) is then on a mission to find out who and why his dad was killed, but also to reinforce his claim as head of the organisation, needless to say things don't go smoothly
You can see the influences from Gareth Evans earlier movies in GoL, the action, the fight scenes and the pacing, there's even one scene in the last episode that could have been taken directly from The Raid!
A good series, worth checking out, a bit cliche in places but that doesn't matter, just enjoy the ride!
