So after talking about films that The Raid (see previous blog) influenced and mentioning John Wick I was flicking through Netflix and came across John Wick 3:Parabellum, so it would have been rude not to watch it wouldn't it.
Again the movie is weak on plot but strong on action, though there is a bit more plot than the previous entries, I'm not complaining, the movies are insane fun, I'll look elsewhere for a cerebral workout.
The cast again is exemplary including a couple of stars from The Raid movies Yayan Ruhian & Cecep Arif Rahman, it also stars Mark Dacascos who I recognised from somewhere but couldn't put my finger on it, then it came to me, he starred in the wonderful Brotherhood of the Wolf, but more on that later on.
I'm looking forward to John Wick 4 (release date 5/22), a spin off movie called Ballerina (no release date as of yet) and there's even talk about a TV series The Continental (no further details as of yet), but if you need a further fix there's always the comic book series which acts as a prequel.
