Blues Brother 4K Limited Edition release 2020

Yesterday Mr Postman had a nice delivery for me, the Limited Edition 4K release of the Blues Brothers!

I was going to assume that everybody knows all about the Blues Brother movie, but then I thought that there might be some people that have never seen it, though I don't know why as it's an awesome movie!

So, basic plot, Jake and Elwood Blues (John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd) are on a "Mission from God" to help the penguins, sorry, nuns, that run the orphanage that they were brought up in, they need $5000 to pay the property tax or the orphanage will have to close.
The boys decide that they could raise the money by putting on a concert, so they need to put the band back together!
This is where the fun starts, their road to the final concert is paved with misadventures, along the way theres a mystery woman trying to kill them, they run into the Good Ol' Boys, who like both Country AND Western, some neo-nazis, the Chicago PD and even the National Guard!

The origins of the Blues Brothers was on the American sketch show Saturday Night Live, whilst working on the show Aykroyd rented out the Holland Tunnel Blues Bar, which became popular with the cast and crew, and where John Belushi was became interested in the Blues.
To cut a long story short Aykroyd and Belushi started to perform together, and ended up doing some gigs, which became really popular, Universal Studios could see the Dollar signs in their eyes and commissioned Aykroyd to write a script, and the rest id history!

Fun fact time:
Dan Aykroyd proposed to Carrie Fisher after saving her life, she was chocking on a brussel sprout!
They wrecked 103 car whilst filming, a world record at the time, at a cost of over $10 million (they only had a budget of $17 million for the whole movie, needless to say they went over budget!)
They used a real mall for that famous scene, The Dixie Mall in Harvey Illinois.
Belushi was paid twice as much as Aykroyd.
It was the first movie script that Aykroyd had ever written, it was 324 pages, nearly 4 times longer than normal scripts!

This film is hilarious and full of action but what makes it that extra bit special is the music and set pieces, they are brilliant, it has a soundtrack of toe tapping favorites that everyone knows!

The artwork on the steelbook looks fantastic.

Love the attention to detail on the inside.

The music cue sheet is a really nice touch.

A copy of the continuity notes for the famous scene inside Ray's Music Shop.

Nice colour booklet including production notes and backgrounds.

Some nice quality B&W postcards as well!

There's also an A3 poster, but I didn't want to unfold it.
