Video Nasties: The Seduction of the Gullible Pt 3.6

You'll need your 3D glasses for this one!

Flesh for Frankenstein (1972) was released for cinema with an X certificate with about 8 mins of cuts, released with 56 seconds of cuts in 1996, and finally uncut in 2006.
Paul Morrisey's take on the Frankenstein tale, all told under the Warhol banner.
Heavy on the sex, sexual violence and gore, much of this were cut just to get a a cinema release, most of this most then allowed for the video release in 1996, only the bit with the Baron smearing blood over a females breasts and then sexually caressing her body was cut.
As I've stated before I'm not a fan of Morrissey or Warhol, and I'm not a fan of this film either (or it's companion movie Blood for Dracula, which doesn't appear on any of these list surprisingly as it's just as gory and sexual). The film is badly acted (sorry Udo Kier) poorly directed and hilarious in places when it's not supposed to be, I love the "so bad they're good" type of movie, this is just bad and as pretentious as you'd expect from a Morrissey movie bearing the Warhol name!

Forest of Fear (1980) was never given a classification and doesn't appear to have been resubmitted for classification, not a lot of information on this one, nothing on the BBFC website either.
Hippies are growing pot, crops are sprayed with a chemical by a passing plane, hippies turn into mutant zombies, mutant zombie hippies do what mutant zombie hippies normally do!
Can only assume that it's the zombie thing that BBFC/DPP took offence to, still not available in UK.
Not a great movie, went under the title of Toxic Zombies in the US, has a feel of made for TV (not saying all made for TV is bad, but it did have a style) not really missing out on anything here. Sorry for the poor quality vid, but it suits the movie!

Gestapo's Last Orgy (1977) was released uncut pre-cert and then banned once the moral minority started shouted, probably as it was part of the naziploitation genre. Never resubmitted to the BBFC so never released here officially on DVD.
A holocaust survivor returns to the ruins of the concentration camp where she was imprisoned, through falshbacks she relives all the torture she saw and suffered also on how she finally escaped.
Like most of these nazipliotation movies there's a token storyline , but just seems to go from one scene of rape and torture to the next, it's nasty but then again that period was. An average movie of the genre overall.

The House by the Cemetery (1981) was originally released heavily cut for cinema release with an X certificate, this version was presented to the BBFC, and boom it went on the nasties list!
A home is terrorised by a series of gruesome murders, but little do people know of what's lurking in the basement!
The film has been released on 5 different occasions, all cut to one degree or another, it was also reedited as well just to add to the confusion. Most of the cuts were to the death scenes and also the tracking shot of mutilated bodies, the bat attack was also cut!
I do like this Lucio Fulci film, it's well made, atmospheric and suspenseful, though it does look a bit dated now but it does stand out from most on these lists.

House on the Edge of the Park (1980)was initially refused a certificate for cinema release and then fell foul of the BBFC and was listed as a nasty, it was passed in 2002 with over 11 minutes of cuts and then released in 2011 with just 11 seconds of cuts.
2 lowlifes invite themselves to a posh party, when one of them is turned down and ridiculed he loses it a bit and kicks off!
The cuts were due to the levels of extreme sexual violence, rape and torture, also a nasty scene involving a cut throat razor!
This Ruggero Deodato film stars the wonderfully sleazy David Hess (funny how the same names keep popping up!) it's a nasty film, it fits in the rape/revenge exploitation genre perfectly, David Hess is good but not Last House of the Left good, it's not awful but not great.
