As I already stated Kevin Smith isn't only an actor and filmmaker (more of his work to come) but he is also an author and comic book writer.
He has released a few books, a couple in essay form and one that is a memoir/biography type thing.
Silent Bob Speaks is collection of articles and essays he wrote for various magazines and publications, the subject matter ranges from interviews with film stars, views on comic book characters and personal reflections.
My Boring Ass Life is exerts from his blog, which covers everything from boring mundane events to Jason Mewes's battle with heroin addiction, and loads of other things in between.
Tough Sh*t is a sort of biography and he doesn't pull any punches.
To call Kevin Smith a comic book geek (he called his daughter Harley Quinn Smith!) would be an understatement, he has not only written his own independent comics but he has also written for DC and he's got his own comic book shop, part owned with Jason Mewes called Secret Stash in Red Bank, New Jersey.
His own comic books are based around his films, Clerks, Chasing Dogma, Bluntman and Chronic and Yoga Hosers: When Colleens Collide!
The work he has done for DC has included Daredevil, Green Arrow and Batman, I've actually got the 2 Batman graphic novels currently sitting on my coffee table!
He has other titles to his name as well, Spider-man, The Bionic Man and Hit-Girl.
