Uwe Boll, The Director they tried to stop! Pt 3

Boll, prolific as ever, brings us another 4 movies in 2011.
We start with Auschwitz, a docudrama about the Nazi deathcamp, we all know the story behind this blot in the history of mankind and it's something that we should never forget.
The film has had mixed reviews, more negative than positive, IMA it's a 50/50 film, half of it is well done but the other half is over sensationalised, which isn't needed when dealing with something this awful.

Next up we have Bloodrayne: The Third Reich and Blubberella, and the reason I've lumped these 2 together is because they were filmed in parallel, using the same locations and sets, and mostly the same cast.
Bloodrayne is the 3rd in the awful video game franchise, this time she's taking on Nazi's, it's just as bad as the other ones, not sure what else to say!
Blubberella is basically the same story as Bloodrayne, but with a different lead actress, and is actually supposed to be a comedy rather than accidentally funny! There are some laugh out loud moments in Blubberella, it's quite funny, but also cringey in places, the acting is awful and the jokes are purile, which I don't mind!

In the Name of the King: Two Worlds, there was no need for this movie ever to be made, the highlight is Dolph Lundgren looking confused throughout most of the film!

There are 5 more films from Uwe Boll, I haven't watched them, and probably wont, I think I've suffered enough!

The one thing you can't deny is the fact that Boll is passionate about film and works extremely hard, he has a lot of credits to his name:
Producer 53
Director 33
Writer 20
Actor 13
Cinematographer 2
Soundtrack 1

In 2016 he retired from film making and entered the restaurant business, he opened the Bauhaus Restaurant in Vancouver, it was a success, in fact it's listed as one of the top 50 restaurants in Canada. Boll and his wife have since opened up 2 more restaurants and are planning another, this one in China, looks like he might have finally found his true calling.
He may have been quite an awful director, not the worse but definitely one of the most prolific, but he did it his way, he reminds me a bit of Ed Wood, the main difference is the Ed Wood didn't know when to quite!
