1963, what a year! Pt4 Books

1963 wasn't too bad for book releases as well, quite a few ended up as movies of some repute also.

Where the Wild things Are is a beloved children's book that adapted in 1984 as a TV musical and later as a feature film in 2009.

The Spy That Came in from the Cold was made into a movie in 1965 and is currently in production for a new mini series for Netflix.

Planet of the Apes not only was adapted into a film in 1968 but also a franchise, it's also been rebooted in 2001 and prequeled/reimagined in 2011!

On Her Majesty's Secret Service became one of the least popular Bond movies in 1969, but it did have one of the most heartbreaking endings!

The Collector ended up being a very dark and disturbing movie in 1965, well worth a watch.

But my favorite title for the year has to go to The Persecution and Assassination of Jen-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis De Sade, this was made into a movie in 1967 called Marat/Sade, no sure why they changed the title! And as a special treat below is the link for it, enjoy!
