Moose: The Movie

I always feel that it's my responsibility to unearth little gems for both of my readers, and today I think I've hit pay dirt!

Moose is an action comedy/suspense film written by the Tundra Comic Strip duo and is a community made film, proudly made by Alaskans, in Alaska and starring Alaskans, produced on a minute budget but it doesn't seem like it!

The action takes place in Gangrene Gulch (actually filmed in Wasilla, Alaska, Sarah Palin used to be Mayor here!), a small town full of unique residents, the Mayor is a chicken and the chef at the Grease Trap Cafe is a puppet, he is also the coroner, just to add to the ambiance it is also the spring break retreat for a mime school!

It's Zack's first day as a Ranger and there's a report of a couple of suspicious deaths in the woods, a couple of campers appear to have been trampled by an enraged moose, well we've all been there.

After further deaths Zack and Sam, she's the assistant coroner and part time librarian, begin to suspect that it might be a local legend come back to reek revenge, a Moosataur!
I really enjoyed this movie, it was laugh out loud funny in places, really well shot in general and the acting was on the most part good, there's loads of little jokes and puns in the background, definitely worth at least a second viewing, and best of all it's available on Prime.
